What is the difference between a Wedding Planner and Wedding Coordinator?

A Wedding Planner is someone who assists the wedding couple from start to finish – gives advice to the wedding couple, conceptualise and design the wedding event, assist with the selection of service providers, scheduling appointments with selected vendors, negotiating contract rates with vendors, keeping track of budget, create timelines and checklist for the wedding event, and coordinate the actual day wedding event.

A Wedding Coordinator is someone who assists the wedding couple with their wedding arrangements on the actual day of the wedding event.

Can I select my own vendors?

Absolutely! You can select and hire your own vendors. If you decide to engage our services, you will need to share with us what are the agreed deliverables with those vendors, so that we can ensure all deliverables are met on an actual day.

Is it a good idea to have family and friends coordinate my wedding event?

Typically, family and friends may not be familiar with the coordination process and they may not know the vendors. Do remember that they are your guests at your wedding event, so they should be enjoying themselves, rather than worry about all the little details.

If I hire you as my wedding planner, does it mean you take over completely?

We believe one of the key elements in wedding event planning is collaboration and communication. We will work as a team, and throughout the entire planning process, we will update you on every detail of the event from the vendors’ bookings to the logistical arrangements.

What are your charges?

We charge a flat fee based on the services that you have requested. We do not work on a percentage of your overall wedding budget nor do we take a commission from our vendors. You are paying us for our expertise and professional knowledge.

How soon should I book your services?

It depends on the month of your event but anywhere from 8 to 18 months in advance is good. The popular wedding months are January, February, March, June, September, October, November and December. Generally, for Muslims, there will be no wedding in the month of Ramadan (fasting month).
