We received email enquiries asking a variety of questions about what we do, what we offer and many others. So we have compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions that we hope will be informative for our readers.

What is the difference between a wedding planner and a wedding coordinator?
A wedding planner is someone who assists the wedding couple from start to finish – gives advice to the couple, conceptualises and designs the wedding event, assists with the selection of service providers, schedules appointments with selected vendors, negotiates contract rates with vendors, keeps track of budget, creates timelines and checklists for the wedding event, and coordinates the actual wedding day.
A wedding coordinator is someone who assists the wedding couple with their wedding arrangements on the actual day of the wedding event.
Do I need to hire a wedding planner?
The answer is no, as long as you are able to handle the wedding planning yourself! However, as you start planning your wedding event, you will soon realise that having a planner is invaluable. We will help you manage your budget, give you recommendations, suggestions, ideas and advice, secure vendors for your event, negotiate contracts and, most importantly, ensure your event will go smoothly. You should relax and enjoy it instead of taking care and worrying about all the little details. We are here to collaborate, inspire, and assist with your wedding event.
What separates you from other wedding planners?
Firstly, we do not offer “all-in-one package” or “one-stop service” as we strongly believe in personalising and customising each wedding based on our client vision and budget. We will match our client to the appropriate vendor based on your style and personality.
Secondly, we will attend all vendor meetings with our client, maintain their budget worksheet, prepare timelines, checklists, and programs, and be present on the wedding day to coordinate the event from start to finish.
Finally, we only take a limited number of events per year so that we can give each of our clients the time and attention they deserve.
Can I select my own vendors?
Yes, you can select and hire your own vendors. If you decide to engage our services, you will need to share with us the agreed deliverables with those vendors, so that we can ensure all deliverables are met on the actual day..
Is it a good idea to have family and friends coordinate my wedding event?
Typically, family and friends may not be familiar with the coordination process and they may not know the vendors. Do remember that they are your guests at your wedding event, so they should be enjoying themselves, rather than worry about all the little details.
If I hire you as my wedding planner, does it mean you take over completely?
Absolutely not! We believe one of the key elements in wedding event planning is collaboration and communication. We will work as a team, and throughout the entire planning process, we will update you on every detail of the event, from the vendor bookings to the logistical arrangements.
What are your charges?
We charge a flat fee based on the services that you have requested. We do not work on a percentage of your overall wedding budget, nor do we take commission from our vendors. You are paying us for our expertise and professional knowledge.
How soon should I book your services?
It depends on the month of your event, but anywhere from 8 to 18 months in advance is good. The popular wedding months are March, May, June, September, October, November, and December.
