Bouquet for Mothers

Mother’s Day is celebrated in most part of Asia this weekend. Most families have some sort of gathering with their mothers, either for brunch, lunch, dinner or high-tea at eatery outlets.

Ironically, both my mother and my mother-in-law, do not believe in spending on dining out when celebrating mother’s day event, or even spend too much money on events such as weddings. That was why I took control of my own wedding planning.. ha ha!!

I celebrated my first mother’s day last year. My boy is now 14+ months old and I am truly blessed having him in my life now.

Since beginning of this year, I have been totally into Twittering. I’m amased at the number of followers Wedding & Romance has!

Heaven Blessed Real Love Works @ Marina Barrage

Last night, my husband and I got to witness the biggest ever couples reaffirming their love and commitment at Marina Barrage.

Thanks heaven, the rain stopped in time for the event and start pouring again towards the end of the lucky draws segment. A thousand balloons were released into the sky as a symbol of couples soaring love. Couples also express their love by posting it on love notes, which has set a new Singapore record for the largest heart formed made with a collection of love notes.

Congratulations to the two couples who won Wedding & Romance Pre-Wedding Experience and Just Us Packages.

Birthday Bash

Yesterday, I planned and celebrated a birthday bash for my son, my nephew and myself. It was a wonderful family gathering – three generations in one roof.

My nephew, who turned 7 on Mar. 19, was very excited to see 35 cupcakes and wanting to eat all of them, if he could! Importantly the birthday was for my son, who turned ONE on Mar. 1. Mummy and son birthday falls on the same day too.

Thanks to Cup Cake Momma for the great cupcakes colour schemes. Truly delicious!!!

Real Love Works

In celebration of happy and healthy marriages in Singapore, Wedding & Romance support this year’s marriage wellness campaign ‘Real Love Works’. The campaign is organised by Marriage Central and supported by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports.

A series of events have been planned starting from 21 to 29 March 2009.

Celebrate the launch of the Real Love Works 2009 at Marina Barrage on 21 March 2009. Join thousands of couples in the first ever mass releasing of love balloons and participate in mass renewal of wedding vows.

In celebration of ‘Real Love Works’, the yearly Marriage Convention 2009 will be held on 28 and 29 March 2009. This event is supported by Marriage Central and the National Family Council, at Suntec Convention Centre.
